Enviro400 features a completely new interior with options that offer between 7 and 9 more seats in the lower saloon than comparable buses.

A breakthrough in seating capacity has been achieved by adopting a clean sheet approach. Using a mixture of lateral thinking and attention to detail, Alexander Dennis have created an attractive and spacious new interior with up to 33 seats in the lower saloon – giving the short wheelbase two door Enviro400 more seats than the previous long wheelbase equivalent.

Seven extra seats at the front.
Up to seven new seats are available at the front of the bus. Three of these are directly behind the driver and immediately adjacent to the entry platform. They are made possible by the combination of an ingenious space-forming staircase design that creates a seat under the stairs, and by optimising the layout of the front nearside body area.

There’s further extra seating in mid-wheelbase, thanks to more efficient use of space in the wheelchair area along with optimised seat positions at the rear and a slightlyrepositioned exit door.
