Enviro200s to join Nottingham City Transport fleet - 8th January 2013

ADL is to supply 10 Enviro200 midi buses to Nottingham City Transport. They will all go into service early in 2013

Following an intensive evaluation exercise of all manufacturers, Nottingham has chosen the UK’s leading midi bus and these are the first of their kind to join their large fleet. Nicola Tidy, Marketing and Communications Director at NCT, said:
“Nottingham City Transport is pleased to be working in partnership with ADL for the supply of 10 Enviro200 midi buses. These will be utilised to ‘refresh’ an existing midi bus route where patronage growth now requires a bus with a more spacious interior, whilst maintaining compact external dimensions.

“The Enviro200 received excellent reviews in recent road trials and was the successful proposal in a competitive tendering process. We are looking forward to monitoring passenger reaction to this new addition to our fleet.”
The new vehicles are all single-door and 10.2m in length with 33 Lazzerini Practico high back seats covered in two-tone E-Leather with extra padding and edge piping. They also have a buggy pen. The specification includes  driver’s air conditioning, bonded glazing, full CCTV and INIT passenger information system. The buses are powered by Cummins ISBe four-cylinder 160PS EEV engines and Allison S2100 five-speed automatic transmissions.
