"Dancer, Prancer & Blitzen" Enviro300s for JPT!
JPT (Middleton) has added "Dancer, Prancer and Blitzen"- its first 3 Alexander Dennis Enviro300 single deckers - to its fleet, these festive names being chosen in a competition run for the local community via this rapidly expanding company's Facebook page.
The 44 seaters are fitted with Allison T280 5 speed automatic gearboxes and Cummins ISBe 6 cylinder Euro5 engines.
All 3 new buses will mostly be used on JPT’s service 118 which runs from central Manchester to North Manchester General Hospital as well as being used for operation on the company’s night bus services at weekends.
Two of the three new vehicles are to carry advertising for the North West Air Ambulance which will include visual pictures of their helicopters superimposed onto the outside livery of the buses. JPT is proud to play its part in supporting this vital emergency service.
JPT launched the new buses on its highly successful and expanding facebook page, ‘Jpt Bus Company’ which involved the local community in a competition to find names for each the vehicle, resulting in the three very festive names, Dancer, Prancer and Blitzen!
