Alexander Dennis delivers Hong Kong’s first 2-axle air-conditioned double decks
Alexander Dennis has delivered Hong Kong’s first ever 2-axle fully air conditioned Enviro400 double decks to Citybus Limited and The Kowloon Motor Bus Co. (1933) Ltd.
For many years Alexander Dennis has led the way in Hong Kong by pioneering low floor, low emission technology and these Enviro400s are yet another impressive first.
The new 2-door vehicles are 10.5 metres long and are specified with Cummins ISLe Euro5 engines and ZF “Ecolife” 6 speed gearboxes, combining impressive environmental performance with excellent hill climbing ability and class leading fuel economy. Highly manoeuvrable, the Enviro400 is well suited to many of Hong Kong’s demanding bus routes.

Like all ADL buses, these Enviro400s combine the highest standards of passenger comfort and low operating costs.
They can accommodate up to 88 passengers, with 64 seated and 24 standees and internally they are equipped with full air-conditioning, attractive and environmentally friendly LED lighting, high back seats and a gently sloping “no-step” floor with a wide gangway for maximum passenger convenience.
