Seven New Enviro200s for Church of Scientology
Alexander Dennis Limited (ADL) has just completed one of the year’s more unusual deals by delivering seven new Enviro200 midi buses to the Church of Scientology UK.
19th December 2016
The vehicles will be based at Saint Hill Manor, near East Grinstead, West Sussex, which is the church’s UK headquarters and will transport many of the 400 staff based there to and from their home town of Crowborough, which is 14 miles away across the Ashdown Forest.
All seven of the new Enviro200s are 8.9m, 29 seat vehicles and were purchased after a period of extensive market research.
Graeme Wilson, Public Affairs Director at the Church of Scientology, commented: “We were keen to match fuel economy, low emissions and manoeuvrability with reliability, durability, longevity and overall performance.
“The Enviro200 meets all of these criteria and also has a clean, modern and stylish look. Crucially, the combination of reduced fuel economy and low emissions puts it in the vanguard of the industry in terms of being environmentally friendly, which is a major factor for us when travelling through green belt, villages and towns”.
