Alexander Dennis, a subsidiary of NFI Group Inc., one of the world’s leading independent global bus manufacturers, today confirmed that it will again have a comprehensive range of stock-built single and double deck buses available for operators to add to their fleets throughout 2025.

The Alexander Dennis stock programme now includes the electric Enviro100EV ‘big small bus’ as well as the Enviro200 single decker and the Enviro400 double decker that have long been available in this format. The manufacturer’s comprehensive stock specification has been enhanced for 2025 to deliver an even better experience for drivers as well as passengers and to improve information accessibility.

Charlie Miller, Retail Sales Director for Alexander Dennis, explained: “In the fast-paced world of the bus industry, operators need to be able to react quickly to contract wins or growing customer demand alongside ongoing investment in fleets that they can be sure will stand the test of time and deliver for their companies’ bottom line.

“That’s why we’re offering an even wider range of stock in 2025 that ranges from compact midibuses to high-capacity double deckers, and making sure they are available quickly when our customers need them.”

The Enviro200 single decker will be available in the popular lengths of 8.9m, 9.7m and 10.8m as well as an 11.8m option with six-cylinder engine that has been reintroduced to the stock programme. All are certified as low-emission buses by the Zemo Partnership, entitling operators to Bus Service Operators Grant (BSOG) incentive payments.

Depending on length, stock-built Enviro200 offer between 30 and 43 seats with a wheelchair bay and an additional buggy bay. Optional seatbelts can be installed at all fixed seats and buses delivered without them can easily have them added to the existing seats at any point during the buses’ service lives. Seats are trimmed in a modern moquette designed by Camira, with the option to adjust trim to match customers’ fleet style. Altro wood-effect flooring further enhances the overall interior ambiance.

Enviro200 are either pre-wired for hearing loops and audio-visual next stop announcements or will have these systems factory fitted, giving operators flexibility in how to meet latest standards for accessible information. Stock Enviro200 now have the latest style of Alexander Dennis steering wheel and electronic dashboard, and are pre-wired for tachographs.

Stock Enviro400 double deckers are built to a length of 11.5m to seat 85 passengers, resulting in a high-capacity vehicle equally suited to school contracts, private hires and service work. A wheelchair bay is provided and accessed through the main passenger door, ensuring that the buses fully meet PSV Accessibility Regulations (PSVAR).

All fixed seats have three-point belts and are trimmed in a refined combination of understated Camira moquette and vinyl headrests complemented by Altro wood-effect flooring. USB charging ports are provided at all seats. In addition to the latest dashboard and steering wheel, Enviro400 stock have digital tachographs as well as radio/public address systems fitted and are pre-wired for hearing loops and audio-visual next stop announcements.

Alexander Dennis will also offer zero-emission stock for the first time with a number of Enviro100EV available in 2025. This fully electric ‘big small bus’ is ideal for narrow housing estates or winding country roads, where its compact road footprint is combined with generous passenger capacity including 25 seats and up to 20 standees. Provision is made for accessible information. 354kWh batteries and the highly efficient Voith Electrical Drive System give the Enviro100EV class-leading range on a single charge.

Stock Enviro200, Enviro400 and Enviro100EV will be built throughout the year with some vehicles available immediately and further to be completed throughout the coming months.

Charlie Miller said: “Our fantastic sales team is looking forward to discussing bus operators’ requirements, identifying the best vehicles to enhance our valued customers’ fleets and preparing their new buses for them.”
