Alexander Dennis Limited (“ADL”), a subsidiary of NFI Group Inc. (“NFI”), one of the world’s leading independent global bus manufacturers, today announced that it has delivered a brand new accessible Plaxton Panther coach to Slough-based Apple Travel.

Returning customer Apple Travel delivers coach hire services from its Slough base for school travel, trips and airport transfers.

The new Plaxton Panther coach has 59 seats and is built on the efficient Volvo B8R chassis.  The coach is fully compliant with the United Kingdom’s PSV Accessibility Regulations (PSVAR), so is equipped with a side-mounted wheelchair lift and white LED destination displays to the front, side and rear of the vehicle. Powered near-side locker doors and USB charger points ensure comfort for both driver and passenger.

The coach has been built at the Plaxton factory in Scarborough, supporting skilled jobs and apprenticeships in Britain.

Chris Pusey from Apple Travel said: “We are committed to adding new vehicles to our fleet to make sure we continue to deliver high quality, safe and reliable travel for our many customers. This new coach will be a great addition for us and one I am sure our customers will enjoy.”

Mark Taylor, ADL Sales Account Manager, said: “We’re delighted to have delivered another vehicle to the team at Apple Travel. It’s always great doing business with them and we look forward to further strengthening our working relationship in the future.”
