Alexander Dennis Limited (“ADL”), a subsidiary of NFI Group Inc. (“NFI”), one of the world’s leading independent global bus manufacturers, today announced that it has supplied a new Plaxton Panther to Glasgow-based Abbey Coaches.

The new PSVAR-compliant coach is a 12.8m long vehicle on Volvo B8R chassis with 59 seats and is fitted with a wheelchair life, USB charging points and wood-effect flooring.

It joins the company’s fleet of luxury coaches providing airport transfers, day trips, extended excursions, and custom and bespoke tours across Scotland and the UK.

Abbey Coaches Director Graeme Walker, who runs the family business with his mother Christine, said: “We are committed to delivering more for our customers in every way and this new coach will help us do that. It’s a reliable, comfortable and enjoyable vehicle to travel on and we’re delighted to introduce it to our fleet.”

Abbey Coaches, based in Greater Glasgow’s Thornliebank, has bought Plaxton coaches for over 20 years.

Charlie Miller, ADL Senior Regional Sales Manager, added: “We’re delighted to do business again with Graeme, Christine and the team at Abbey Coaches. We appreciate their loyalty to Plaxton and their support buying our coaches and we know this one will be another excellent addition to their fleet.”
