Alexander Dennis, a subsidiary of NFI Group Inc., a leader in propulsion-agnostic bus and coach mobility solutions, today announced that English operator Moving People Ltd has taken delivery of two Enviro200 single deck buses.

Moving People is an independent operator based in Lancashire, where the two Enviro200 will be used a new service launched earlier this year to link Royal Blackburn Hospital and Burnley General Hospital to each other and the towns centres. The service is fully commercial without financial support from NHS trusts or local councils.

The versatile vehicles are the first Alexander Dennis buses the company has bought new from the manufacturer. They provide reliability and comfort for passengers, with room for up to 40 seated passengers as well as a wheelchair user and buggies.

Moving People Managing Director Glen Chamberlain commented: “These new Alexander Dennis Enviro200 buses give us a reliable base for our new hospital service while keeping our costs in check, providing a winning combination for our fleet. Thanks to Simon Wood for guiding us through the buying process, making the addition of these new buses a smooth endeavour.”

Simon Wood, Regional Sales Manager at Alexander Dennis, said: “It was a great pleasure to work alongside Glen and the Moving People team to provide these Enviro200 buses. Moving People’s new hospital service provides access to healthcare facilities for local residents and easier commutes for hospital staff. It’s rewarding to know that our Enviro200 buses help to enable the commercial provision of such a vital link thanks to their competitive operating costs.”
