Alexander Dennis, a subsidiary of NFI Group Inc., one of the world’s leading independent global bus manufacturers, today announced that it has delivered two new Plaxton coaches to Country Lion (Northampton) Limited.

The new vehicles for the family-owned and managed company include a 61-seat Plaxton Panther and a 72-seat Plaxton Leopard. Both are 12.8m long and represent the highest-capacity seating options for each model.

They are built on the Volvo B8R chassis, and fitted with wheelchair lifts and destination displays to meet PSV Accessibility Regulations (PSVAR).

Dan O’Dell, Director at Country Lion, said: “The Plaxton Panther and Plaxton Leopard are great versatile coaches and the high seating capacities that we have been able to specify make them ideal for our school contracts and private hire work. The ability to meet niche requirements in a standard product has always been a major benefit of the Plaxton range to us.”

Martin Dunleavy, Regional Sales Manager for Alexander Dennis, added: “It is always a pleasure to work with family businesses providing a great quality service for their customers. Fully backed up by our aftermarket support, these new Panther and Leopard coaches will continue to roar for Country Lion for many years to come.”
