Alexander Dennis, a subsidiary of NFI Group Inc., today announced that it has handed over an Enviro400 double-decker to new customer Beaver Bus, based in Leicestershire, England.
It’s the first brand-new vehicle the operator has ever bought, adding to a fleet of almost 15 vehicles that are all Alexander-bodied.
The new bus has been bought to upgrade the Beaver Bus fleet and will be used for existing school routes. Its 85 belted seats give it plenty of capacity for school work.
Gavin McDonald, Director at Beaver Bus, said: “It’s a pleasure to take delivery of our first brand new bus: a major milestone for our business. The Enviro400 is a lovely vehicle and we’re sure it’ll go down well with passengers and drivers alike. We are proud to be in a position to modernise our fleet.”
Beaver Bus is a family-owned company, carrying out a range of local bus work, school contracts and shuttle services in the South Leicestershire area.
Specialising in dedicated school bus services, it prides itself on running a clean, attractive and well-maintained fleet. The business has a purpose-built workshop and MOT centre in Leicester, with a DVSA inspection area and testing facility.
The new Enviro400 is the most significant of several recent investments, which include a new drive-through wash that will serve the company’s own buses as well as other commercial fleets.
Simon Wood, Regional Sales Manager at Alexander Dennis, said: “Congratulations to the team at Beaver Bus on their first brand new vehicle, and a big thank you for choosing Alexander Dennis to mark this milestone.
“It’s great to see the striking Beaver Bus branding applied to a brand new Enviro400 double-decker. We’re looking forward to seeing how it performs in service, and we’re sure that Beaver Bus’s customers will love it.”
