Alexander Dennis, a subsidiary of NFI Group Inc., one of the world’s leading independent global bus manufacturers, today announced that together with finance solution partner Dawsongroup bus and coach, it has delivered six new low-emission Enviro200 single deckers to Falcon Buses.

The independent Surrey operator relaunched its Falcon 461 service with an improved timetable in late April. The new Enviro200 buses connect Kingston, Walton-on-Thames, Weybridge, Addlestone and St Peter’s Hospital at a frequency of up to every 20 minutes.

Built to the Enviro200’s shortest length of just 8.9 metres, the low-emission buses are adept at navigating the busy roads served by the route. Passengers are kept up to date on their journeys’ progress with on-board information screens and next-stop announcements.

“When looking to upgrade the fleet of our improved Falcon 461 service, the Enviro200 was the natural choice for us.”

Richard Telling, Managing Director for Falcon Buses, said: “When looking to upgrade the fleet of our improved Falcon 461 service, the Enviro200 was the natural choice for us. Its efficiency is well established in our fleet, and our passengers love the comfortable interiors with plenty of easily accessible seats.

“I’m delighted with our newly revised livery, route and internal branding on these six buses which will now be rolled out on all new buses, and across our fleet as they are refurbished. This really does set Falcon aside and ahead of the game in Surrey.”

The latest six Enviro200 join 47 of the same type that make up Falcon’s local bus fleet and take Falcon’s average fleet age to just three years. The entire fleet meets the Euro VI emissions standard and includes 23 certified low-emission buses.

Mark Taylor, Regional Sales Manager for Alexander Dennis, added: “It has been a pleasure to deliver these latest six Alexander Dennis Enviro200 to Falcon Buses, further contributing to an impressive modern fleet. Richard and his team can rest assured that they will be fully supported in the buses’ operation with the high standards of AD24 aftermarket support they are accustomed to across their local bus fleet.”

Paul Sainthouse, Managing Director of Dawsongroup bus and coach, said: “We are genuinely delighted to once again support Falcon Buses with the supply of these new vehicles. Our partnership started when Richard Telling founded the business in 2012 and we are extremely pleased to be part of the latest chapter in the Falcon success story.”
