Compass headed in the right direction with new Enviro200s

Compass Travel, now with a fleet of over 70 vehicles serving routes across Brighton and Hove, West Sussex, East Sussex and Surrey has added a further two Alexander Dennis midi buses to its ever-expanding line-up of vehicles.

Both are 8.9m, 29-seat Enviro200s and join a wide-ranging group of ADL products -including E200s, E300s and Darts – that form the backbone of a fleet serving routes in Guildford, Redhill, Reigate, Chichester, Arundel, Bognor Regis, Lewes, Hayward Heath, Eastbourne and Brighton.

Malcolm Gallichan, Engineering Director at Compass Travel, commented: “Many of these are demanding routes that provide services in both high density and rural locations. That means we have to match the right vehicles to the right routes and, in that respect, the ADL range gives us multiple options.

“The Enviro200, in particular, is ideal for rural routes but operates equally well in town and city locations. It gives us flexibility but also does well in terms of reliability, fuel efficiency and all-round performance. At the end of the day, busy operators need vehicles that are popular with drivers and passengers – and deliver exactly what they promise. In that respect, the Enviro200 ticks all the boxes.”

Compass Travel’s new additions are both powered by Euro5, Cummins ISB4.5 four cylinder engines with Allison gear boxes and are fitted with CCTV camera systems.
