Leopoard joins fleet as Taf Valley goes from strength to strength

Published: 19 Dec 2016

The 59-seat, Euro6 B8 model will operate extensively on private hires and school trips from Bristol, Worcester and Wiltshire to the popular outdoor pursuit centre at Morfa Bay in West Wales.

The success of Taf Valley Coaches, founded by husband and wife team Clive and Heather Edwards, reflects a remarkable business development story built on a start-up loan from The Prince’s Trust.

“That loan enabled us to buy our first coach, secure our initial school run and establish small premises in the centre of Whitland,” said Clive, Managing Director of the company.

He added: “Within four years we had moved to a bigger, more appropriate location just two miles south of the town – and here we are 26 years later operating school runs, private hires, public services and holiday programmes that take people all over the UK and into Continental Europe.

“It has been a remarkable journey and one in which Plaxton and Alexander Dennis Limited have made a big contribution. The backbone of our fleet includes Cheetah, Paragon, Panther and Leopard coaches, along with Enviro200 midi buses. The bottom line with the Plaxton-ADL range is that the vehicles deliver what they promise and are well supported by the parts and service team.”
