Family run business DJ Thomas Coaches, based in Neath, Glamorgan, has introduced a new Plaxton Leopard to its growing fleet of modern, environment friendly vehicles.
The 72-seat Volvo B8 Euro6 model with I-Shift transmission is finished to a luxury specification with hi-back seats, safety belts and air conditioning throughout. It will operate on private hires, corporate travel, day trips and support the company’s fast-growing holiday business.
Founded 63 years ago, the DJ Thomas brand operates from a state-of-the-art facility in Neath town centre and is long-established as an integral part of the transport landscape in South Wales. In recent years however it has expanded its activities across the UK and into Continental Europe, having entered the coach holiday sector in 2011.
Company director Lee Gibson commented: “The business continues to go from strength to strength and we now operate extensively across Wales, the UK and elsewhere. Our holiday business has gathered real momentum and, like all of our activities, our aim is to provide quality, leading-edge services that keep DJ Thomas at the forefront of the industry.
“To do that we need modern, stylish vehicles that not only offer comfort and luxury but are economic and perform well on the road, week after week, month after month. The Plaxton Leopard has a track record on all of these fronts and is a welcome addition to our coach fleet.”
