A 72-seat Plaxton Leaopard coach and two Alexander Dennis Enviro400 double deck buses have joined the fleet at Swans Travel.
All three vehicles are based out of the group’s Manchester headquarters at Broadway Business Park and are operating on contract work, private hires and ground transport services. Their introduction forms part of the company’s on-going policy of continuous investment in modern, stylish vehicles that set the pace for the industry sector.
The Leopard is a 12.8m B8 model with I-Shift transmission, while the Enviro400s are 11.5m versions with 86 seats, all with safety belts, powered by Cummins ISBe 6.7 litre 250PS engines and ZF EcoLife gearboxes. They also have CCTV with V400 recorders, high-back seats, alloy wheels, LED staircase lighting and wood affect flooring.
Kieran Swindells, who is Managing Director of Swans, one of the most successful and highly respected businesses in the UK transport sector, commented: “The Leopard has a reputation second to none and has all the latest safety, comfort and low emission features we have come to expect from the Plaxton range. This latest model has all-round CCTV, Wi-Fi and a stylish, luxury finish, providing the ideal package for a whole range of contract and private hire opportunities.
“Likewise, our new Enviro400s have a high specification finish, which us something passengers expect nowadays, and, of course, they have the unique combination of comfort and genuine high capacity. Having 86 seats opens up a lot of options and business opportunities, particularly for school work and one-off special occasions such as office outings, weddings and Corporate events.”
