More Enviro400s bound for Imperial Coaches

Published: 31 Jan 2018

Imperial Coaches confirmed this week that another three, new-generation Enviro400 double decks from Alexander Dennis Limited (ADL) will join their fleet later this year.

All three buses will be 11.5m, 86-seat vehicles, similar to the four Enviro400s introduced by the company in the autumn of 2017.

Based in Slough, just two miles from Heathrow Airport, Imperial Coaches is a family business that has built an enviable reputation for reliability and customer service, supporting school contracts, airport transfers, rail replacement initiatives, corporate events, travel and tour programmes across Berkshire, the South East, the UK and mainland Europe for almost half a century.

Managing Director Joe Johal commented: “Our new Enviro400s have been a great success. They have alloy wheels, sophisticated PA systems and seat belts through-out, hence they are popular with schools and education authorities, combining capacity, safety and comfort. Powered by the 6.7 litre Cummins engine with ZF Ecolife transmission they are a pleasure to drive.”

He added: “In addition, all of our new Enviro400s are Euro6 vehicles, which is an important factor in terms of enhancing our green credentials and giving us full compliance in the extended London Low Emission Zone.”

Mark Taylor, ADL’s Regional Sales Manager for the South of England said: “We continue to see a steady move towards premium vehicles that combine comfort and high capacity, whether it be for service routes, private hires, corporate work, day trips or school contracts, and I see no reason why that trend shouldn’t continue.

“Vehicles like those being introduced by Imperial Coaches are in a class of their own when it comes to capacity, comfort and performance. They also have a real street presence that enhances the image and reputation of operators”.
