Moffat & Williamson, unquestionably one of the most successful and highly respected bus and coach operators in Scotland, has added to its ever-growing fleet of over 70 vehicles with the addition of a new luxury Plaxton Panther.
The 14m B11R with I-Shift transmission has a centre-sunk toilet, fridge, air conditioning throughout, extended seats with safety belts, an eight-camera CCTV system with V400 recorder, satellite navigation, Wi-Fi, USB charging points, alloy wheels and adaptive cruise control.
Operating across Fife, Moffat & Williamson manages the business from two key locations, one being its headquarters building at Newport-on- Tay, near Dundee, and the other at Glenrothes, in Fife. From these two depots the company runs a vast array of bus services covering the length and breadth of the region, while also supporting school and college contracts, and running luxury coach tours in the UK and Continental Europe.
Company proprietor George Divine, commented: “One way or another we have been around for 70 years, during which time we have had a long and successful relationship with Plaxton. This latest Panther adds to the line-up of Scarborough-built vehicles that form the backbone of our coach fleet and it has slipped seamlessly into operation, providing the combination of luxury, style and performance that is the hallmark of our business.
“Whether on school contracts, private hire, tours or local bus services, our aim is to provide safe, clean, comfortable and affordable travel. Our relationship with Plaxton, particularly in terms of the class-leading products they offer, plus their aftersales service, has been a key factor in consistently delivering for our customers, winning new business and growing our presence at home and abroad.”
