Family-run business Southgate & Finchley Coaches has introduced a new Plaxton Leopard to its fleet of 30 vehicles.
Based in Friern Barnet, North London, the company’s history goes back to 1963 and it is recognised as an integral part of the transport landscape in and around the capital city.
Managing Director Peter Rice commented: "The introduction of the new Ultra Low Emission Zone has kick-started a lot of investment in new coaches, including our acquisition of the latest 12.8m, 72-seat, B8R Leopard. It’s a flagship vehicle that sets the standard in terms of style, performance and street presence.
"We are delighted to have it in our line-up. It extends the long and successful business relationship we have enjoyed with Plaxton over many years, hence the reason their models form the backbone of our coach fleet."
The new Leopard, powered by a Volvo D8K engine and I-Shift transmission, has gone straight into service on school contracts and private hires.
