MP Travel, based in Warrington, Cheshire, celebrated its third anniversary this week by securing a new inter-city route with Megabus, part of the Stagecoach Group, and introducing a high specification 49-seat Plaxton Panther to operate on the service.
In just three years Garreth McAllister-Partridge has travelled a long way, creating a fleet of 14 buses and coaches that support a busy programme of private hires and rail replacement contracts in Manchester, Warrington, Liverpool, Cheshire and across the North West of England.
His new 12.6m B11R with I-Shift transmission has three-point safety belts, front wheelchair lift, wood effect flooring, monitor and DVD player, CD and radio system, washroom, extended seats with leather headrests, Wi-Fi and CCTV.
Garreth, aged 35, was an operations manager in the bus industry before setting out on his own and establishing his thriving business.
He commented: “I’m delighted at the way things have turned out and the relationship we have built with Alexander Dennis Limited, having acquired both coaches and single decks from the group. Their products deliver exactly what they promise and the parts and service support is second to none.
“Our new Panther will operate Friday, Saturday and Sunday, running from Manchester City Centre to the heart of London and returning via Manchester Airport. This brings yet another dimension to our business and is one I am keen to expand.”
