Four new Leopards for Gibson Direct as business continues to flourish

Published: 16 Jan 2019

Renfrew based Gibson Direct, one of the best known coach operators in Central Scotland, has strengthened its 50-strong fleet of modern vehicles with the introduction of four new Euro6 Plaxton Leopards.

Ideally located near to the M8 motorway and with direct access to Scotland’s major cities, Gibson Direct is a name synonymous with transport for major events, conferences, corporate hire, contract services, airport transfers, tours and local authority work.

All four of the new Leopards are 12.2m 70-seat, B8R models with I-Shift transmission. They have LED running lights, air conditioning throughout, sophisticated audio and PA systems, CCTV and reversing cameras, three-point safety belts, driver support systems and alloy wheels.

Company owner Robert Gibson commented: “We have a busy operation covering territories across Renfrewshire, Glasgow, Helensburgh, Johnstone, Hamilton, Airdrie, Coatbridge, Cumbernauld, East Kilbride, Livingstone and Dundee, so our drivers regularly encounter some of the busiest and most congested routes in the country.

“That means we need vehicles that perform well, while also being passenger friendly and stylish, all of which projects a positive image of our company. The new Leopards meet that criteria and are a welcome addition to our fleet.”
