Four new Plaxton Panthers have joined the 80-strong fleet at Pulham & Sons Coaches, based in Bourton on-the-Water, Gloucestershire.
Pictured at the handover of the new vehicles are Andy Pulham (right), Managing Director of the business, along with Lee Salt, Regional Sales Manager in Central England and Wales for Alexander Dennis Limited.
All four of the coaches are B8R models with I-Shift transmission, extended seats, all-age seatbelts, sophisticated CCTV and DVD systems, air conditioning and integrated climate control.
One of the coaches has 61 seats, while two others are 57-seat models, and the fourth has 53 seats, plus toilet facilities. The latter has a private registration plate (GB 10UR) and will support the extensive day trip and holiday programmes operated by GB Tours, who carry more than 50,000 passengers annually.
Pulham &Sons is a fourth generation, family-owned business and one of the most successful companies in the UK transport sector. The four new Panthers will support the range of corporate coach travel and tour services they provide throughout Gloucestershire, Oxfordshire, the UK and Europe, as well as the arrangements they have with companies such as GB Tours.
Andy Pulham commented: “Our brand has been associated with transport in the Cotwolds for 139 years and, of course, now operates across the UK and Europe.
Our aim is to provide class-leading services and to do that we need to consistently refresh our product line up with state-of-the-art vehicles.
“We have a long-standing relationship with Plaxton that has proved successful over many decades and played an important part in sustaining our progressive business strategy.”
