Kidderminster based Whittles Coaches, which is superbly located at the gateway to the Midlands motorway network, Birmingham Airport and the National Exhibition Centre, has added two high specification Plaxton Panthers to its fleet of vehicles.
Both are 53-seat, 12.8m Euro6 B8R models complete with washroom facilities, kitchenette, fridge, boiler, all-age seat belts, leather head and armrests, extra leg room, air conditioning, wood effect flooring, USB charging points and DVD system.
The new low emission, state-of-the-art touring coaches will support Whittles’ summer holiday and excursion programmes, as well as the company’s wide range of services for local businesses, clubs and schools. All of these sectors continue to flourish as the business spreads its wings and its presence both locally and nationally.
Dee Jackson, General Manager of Whittles Coaches, commented: “This investment is an important part of our strategy to set the pace in terms of luxury, environment- friendly vehicles. It is also a vote of confidence for the future of coach travel in Kidderminster and the Wyre Forest area.
She added: “We have an established relationship with Plaxton and the new Panther coaches have slipped seamlessly into our operation. They are stylish, comfortable, dependable, and have an important role to play in our bid to stay at the forefront of the industry.”
Whittles Coaches is part of Johnsons Coach & Bus Travel, which has its headquarters in Henley-in-Arden, near Warwick.
