Apple Travel has added three Plaxton Leopards to its fleet of 16 vehicles operating across West London, Buckinghamshire, Berkshire and along the M4 Corridor.
Two of the coaches are 12.2m 70-seat models, while the third is a 12.8m 59-seater. All three vehicles have B8R I-Shift transmissions, LED destination boards, DVD entertainment and CCTV camera systems.
Based in Slough, Apple Travel is a successful family business operated by husband and wife team Joel and Samantha Sweeney. Joel commented: “We have a long relationship with Plaxton and had no hesitation about acquiring the new Leopards. Operating in and around London it is important we are at the forefront in terms of stylish, modern vehicles that perform well in demanding traffic conditions and deliver what they promise.
“The new Ultra Low Emission Zone in London also makes it imperative that we meet the exacting emission standards set by the transport authorities and the B8R keeps us ahead of the game on that front.
“Our new 70-seat models will operate principally on school work, while the 59-seat Leopard will focus on private hires.”
