Alexander Dennis, a subsidiary of NFI Group Inc., one of the world’s leading independent global bus manufacturers, today announced that it has supplied two new Enviro200 single deck buses to independent operator Peter Hogg Coach & Minibus Hire.

Alexander Dennis built the buses, one of which is a 9.7m 34-seater and the other a 10.8m vehicle with 40 seats, to a bespoke specification for the customer. They embody a Scottish theme of printed tartan moquette, colour-matched to hand poles as well as to exterior vinyls in a similar style. Continuing Peter Hogg’s tradition of naming vehicles after Disney characters, the buses have been christened King Fergus and Queen Elinor.

Additional features include seatbelts, USB charging points at all seats, and a digital tachograph.

“We’ve been extremely happy with our existing Enviro200 buses and the attention and care provided by the Alexander Dennis team”

Director Annie Hogg picked up the bus at the Alexander Dennis factory in Scarborough and said: “We’ve been extremely happy with our existing Enviro200 buses and the attention and care provided by the Alexander Dennis team, which made it an easy choice to return for our fourth and fifth examples of the type. These are our best buses yet with their fantastic interior and exterior finish.”

Charlie Miller, Retail Sales Director for Alexander Dennis, added: “It has been a huge pleasure to bring Annie’s vision for these latest Enviro200 low-emission buses to life in collaboration with our partners. Camira used their revolutionary digital print capabilities for the moquette, and KDT Graphics provided the exterior vinyls, working closely together to make it all match perfectly.”

Peter Hogg Coach & Minibus Hire is based in Jedburgh in the Scottish Borders. The company operates local services as well as a cross-border route to Newcastle upon Tyne, providing vital links for the region.
