Alexander Dennis, a subsidiary of NFI Group Inc., a leader in propulsion-agnostic bus and coach mobility solutions, today announced that it has supplied three new Enviro200 to South Wales family business Phil Anslow & Sons Coaches.
The three new low-emission buses have launched the operator’s new X3 route on 1st September. Provided in partnership with Blaenau Gwent Council and operating between Brynmawr and Ebbw Vale, this new service creates a new hourly link for communities across the region to help connect people with work, education, leisure and healthcare.
Phil Anslow & Sons Coaches’ new additions comprise two 8.9m 30-seaters and a longer 9.7m bus with 34 passenger seats, all fitted with three-point belts at all fixed seats alongside accessible passenger information.
Alexander Dennis SmartPack efficiency technology improves the buses’ fuel economy – delivering lower operating costs – and reduces their exhaust emissions by up to 24% for a reduced environmental impact.[1]
Director Chris Anslow said: “Our new X3 service is great news for Blaenau Gwent, not just offering new connections to link communities but doing so with brand-new Alexander Dennis buses that ensure comfortable and accessible journeys. The similar buses we bought last year have performed very well and are well-liked by both passengers and drivers, not to mention our engineers who find them easy to maintain, so we were delighted to return to Alexander Dennis for these new Enviro200.”
Simon Wood, Regional Sales Manager for Alexander Dennis, added: “We’re proud to continue to support Chris and the team at Phil Anslow Coaches, with this year’s trio of new Enviro200 adding to the four we supplied last year. It’s a particular pleasure to see these buses establish new links for local communities in South Wales, making bus travel available and accessible to all.”
