The finished buses are assembled in Britain by Alexander Dennis, just like all BYD–Alexander Dennis joint products.
The 10.9m long BYD–Alexander Dennis Enviro400EV electric double deck buses features Alexander Dennis's eye-catching City style bodywork with a glazed staircase. It is available to Transport for London comprehensive specification for routes in the capital, as well as in operators’ individual specifications for service elsewhere.
The BYD–Alexander Dennis Enviro400EV uses BYD’s Iron-Phosphate battery technology which enables the buses to run all day on a single charge using cost effective off-peak electricity.
The infrastructure required to maintain the vehicle, such as charging points, can be supplied by BYD and is easily deployable and more than flexible enough to comply with relevant building and planning regulations.
