Low-floor accessibility and an easy to deploy wheelchair ramp leading to a wide entrance vestibule make the Enviro200 the ideal solution for all passengers in transit, shuttle and feeder bus applications.
Passenger-friendly design is the key driving force in the development of the Enviro200. Large windows and LED lighting, along with comfortable seating, contemporary styling, and options such as USB charging points, all contribute to a premium on-board passenger experience.
Lighter-weight, fuel efficient and maneuverable with a compact street footprint are just some of the factors which differentiate the Enviro200 from the competition. As urban environments become increasingly congested, the Enviro200 is the ideal solution to meet the needs of operators, passengers and the wider urban population.
Reliability and durability are engineered in to the very core of the Enviro200. The weight-optimized steel chassis coupled with a lighter-weight aluminum body structure deliver enhanced longevity of over 12 years or 500,000 miles. Rigorous testing cycles prove the class-leading componentry delivers the high performance levels required.
Peace of mind with unrivaled customer support thanks to Alexander Dennis’ extensive network of fully-trained service professionals and strategically located parts hubs, ensuring maximum vehicle uptime.
Built in the USA. The Altoona-tested Enviro200 is produced in one of Alexander Dennis’ North American manufacturing hubs by a team of highly skilled employees, meeting all North American legislation including FMVSS, ADA and Buy America regulations.
The two-axle Enviro200 is available at 30’ and 35’ in length. The body framing allows for a choice of up to 32 transit low back or high back seating in various configurations.
The chassis is an all welded construction of channel and box section, designed for direct flooring and full integration with the body. The floor forward of the rear axle is lowered to provide a single step entry. The low weight body structure consists primarily of aluminum extrusions and shear panels with the addition of stainless steel in areas of higher stress ensuring a high body stiffness and durability whilst minimizing the vehicle mass.
Power is supplied by the Cummins ISB6.7 250 6 cylinder turbocharged and intercooled diesel engine certified to EPA 2017 emission standards. The emissions package includes Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR), Variable Geometry Turbo (VGT), Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) and Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR). The Enviro200 uses the Allison B300R automatic transmission with integral retarder, interlocks and the latest fuel saving features and technologies.
The entrance is fitted with a 32” clear aperture air operated Infold door. The exit door is a 31” clear aperture Plug sliding system providing a clear exit platform. Pneumatic doors are fitted as standard.
The Enviro200 transit buses are designed to meet the legislative requirements of current ‘Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards’ (FMVSS) including ‘Americans with Disabilities Act 2010’ (ADA) and ‘Canadian Motor Vehicle Safety Standards’ (CMVSS) including CAN/CSA-D435-02 (R2012) for ‘Accessible Transit Buses’. Our transit and commuter single deck vehicles are also designed to meet American State and Canadian Provincial legislation where applicable.
