Alexander Dennis, a subsidiary of NFI Group Inc., a leader in propulsion-agnostic bus and coach mobility solutions, today announced that it has delivered another seven Enviro200 low-emission buses to Rotala Group.
The new order was placed following the successful introduction of nine Alexander Dennis buses – seven Enviro200 single deckers and two Enviro400 double deckers – at the end of 2024.
Four of the latest buses have been allocated to Tividale depot for the Diamond Bus operation in the West Midlands, while the remaining three have boosted the Preston Bus fleet.
All are 9.7m long and offer up to 34 seats, with 29 fixed Alexander Dennis SmartSeats complemented by five tip-ups in spaces that can also accommodate a wheelchair user and buggies.
Fitted with Alexander Dennis SmartPack efficiency technology, the Enviro200 are certified as low-emission buses, allowing Rotala to benefit from enhanced Bus Service Operators Grant (BSOG) rates alongside lower fuel costs.1
“Alexander Dennis Enviro200 low-emission buses have proven themselves to be reliable and economic to operate, making the type an easy choice for further investment.”
Rotala Chief Executive, Simon Dunn, said: “Our existing fleet of Alexander Dennis Enviro200 low-emission buses have proven themselves to be reliable and economic to operate, making the type an easy choice for further investment. These latest seven buses help us upgrade our West Midlands and Preston fleets and further improve the travelling experience for our passengers.”
Simon Wood, Regional Sales Manager for Alexander Dennis, said: “Thanks to Simon Dunn and the Rotala Group team for again choosing Alexander Dennis to supply further new Enviro200 buses, following the successful delivery at the end of last year of seven similar vehicles alongside two Enviro400 double deckers as well as earlier buses for Rotala’s Bee Network services in Greater Manchester. The Enviro200 continues to offer a versatile platform for Rotala’s operations across England, making these buses valuable assets.”
