Alexander Dennis, a subsidiary of NFI Group Inc., one of the world’s leading independent global bus manufacturers, today announced that it has supplied a new Enviro200 single deck bus to Watermill Coaches of Fraserburgh, Scotland.

The new Alexander Dennis Enviro200 is the second of the type for the independent operator. It follows a similar bus delivered last summer. Both are used on scheduled services from the company’s depot in Ellon.

At a length of 8.9m, the new Enviro200 seats 30 passengers with three-point belts fitted to all fixed Alexander Dennis SmartSeats. Camira has supplied the attractive moquette, which is paired with Altro flooring. Passenger information includes Hanover LED destination displays.

“Our first Enviro200 has been a solid performer since we bought it last year, so it was a natural choice to turn to Alexander Dennis again for further investment in our fleet.”

Watermill Coaches Transport Manager, Raymond Clark, said: “Our first Enviro200 has been a solid performer since we bought it last year, so it was a natural choice to turn to Alexander Dennis again for further investment in our fleet. The Enviro200 is great to drive and easy to maintain, and its spacious interior is popular with our customers as it combines easy access with comfort.”

Alexander Dennis Retail Sales Director, Charlie Miller, added: “I’m delighted that Raymond and the team at Watermill Coaches have chosen us again with another highly appreciated vehicle purchase following the good performance of their earlier Enviro200. This latest bus will offer the same benefits with great fuel efficiency and reliability.”

Fitted with Alexander Dennis SmartPack efficiency technology, the Enviro200 has been certified by the Zemo Partnership to use 24% less fuel than a comparable Euro V diesel bus, delivering a similar saving of well-to-wheel greenhouse gas emissions (certificate available at https://www.zemo.org.uk/work-with-us/buses-coaches/low-emission-buses/certificates-hub.htm).
