Windsor-based White Bus, which in partnership with Fernhill Travel now operates bus and coach services across much of Berkshire, Surrey, London and the South of England, has added two new Enviro200 single decks from Alexander Dennis Limited (ADL) to the group’s fleet of 55 vehicles.
Both are 10.8m 41-seat models with Cummins 4.5-litre engines and Allison 2100 transmissions. They have gone straight into service supporting operations on the 14 bus routes covered by the company in places such as Ascot, Windsor, Wokingham, Maidenhead, Egham, Staines, Woking, Guildford, Bracknell and Camberley.
White Bus, which will celebrate its centenary in 2021, has gone from strength to strength since it created a powerful alliance with Fernhill Travel in 2016, under the umbrella of Rowgate Group. The business, collectively, now provides school transport and corporate coach services across the Home Counties, along with executive travel nationwide.
Managing Director Simon Rowland commented: “We have a great working relationship with ADL and Plaxton, having acquired both new buses and coaches from them in recent years. Their response time is outstanding, both in terms of delivery and aftermarket support, and the track record of their product line-up is second to none. At a time when legislation is constantly changing, it is also comforting to have a British based manufacturer that knows and understands what lies around the next corner.”
