Alexander Dennis, a subsidiary of NFI Group Inc., one of the world’s leading independent global bus manufacturers, today announced that it has supplied a high-capacity Enviro400 double deck bus to Liverpool operator Aintree Coachline.

The brand-new bus has 85 Alexander Dennis SmartSeats with seatbelts, providing high passenger capacity for school contracts and private hires including wedding work. Painted a striking shade of chili red and trimmed accordingly inside, it is the ninth Alexander Dennis bus the independent operator has bought new from the manufacturer since 1996.

John Cherry, who founded the business in 1986 and continues to run it from its base in Maghull, says: “A lot of our work requires high passenger capacity. With its combination of 85 belted seats with a well-established driveline and supplier, the Alexander Dennis Enviro400 offers us great value for money and the confidence that it will be backed up throughout its operational life.”

Alexander Dennis Regional Sales Manager Lee Salt adds: “The Enviro400 is a proven solution for any operator that needs a high number of seats in a familiar vehicle, and like every one of our buses it comes with the flexibility to customise its interior and exterior, as well as whole-life AD24 aftermarket support that ensures it will continue to add value for John Cherry and the team at Aintree Coachline.”
