Alexander Dennis, a subsidiary of NFI Group Inc., one of the world’s leading independent global bus manufacturers, today announced that it has delivered a new Plaxton Leopard coach to Jones Login of Carmarthenshire.

The Welsh family business, which was established in 1965 and is now managed by the third generation of the family, bought the new coach for a new school contract.

Managing Director Endaf Jones said: “The Plaxton Leopard is a fantastic vehicle thanks to its combination of high passenger capacity with robust chassis and body from well-established manufacturers. The ability to have as many as 70 seats in a manoeuvrable vehicle just over 12 metres long is a real benefit for our operations.”

The 12.2m long Plaxton Leopard for Jones Login is built on the Volvo B8R chassis and has a ZF EcoLife automatic gearbox. It seats 70 passengers in a 3+2 arrangement. Fitted with destination displays, it has the provision to add a side-mounted wheelchair lift at a later date to meet PSV Accessibility Regulations (PSVAR).

Simon Wood, Sales Manager New & Used Coach Sales for Alexander Dennis, said: “It’s a special honour to deliver a new Plaxton coach to an operator that has been buying new coaches from us for close to 60 years and whose fleet is dominated by our vehicles. Fully backed up by our aftermarket support, this new Leopard will continue to deliver value to the Jones family for many years to come.”
