Parks of Hamilton, one of Scotland’s leading coach operators, has taken delivery of two Plaxton Cheetah XL models.

The 9.6m, 36-seat vehicles are the first midi coaches to join the 100-strong Parks of Hamilton fleet and Operations Director Michael Andrews believes they will make an invaluable contribution to his ever-expanding, versatile product line-up.

He commented: “We were hugely impressed when the new Cheetah was introduced, offering small coach appeal, plus all the benefits of increased passenger capacity,  more luggage space, more style and improved performance. Early reports of good  fuel economy look promising and we see a real opportunity, via the Cheetah XLs, to enhance our reputation as a provider of tailor-made, luxury travel solutions, whether it be through the provision of large or compact vehicles.”

Built on the Atego 1218L chassis, the new Parks of Hamilton Cheetah XLs are powered by 5.1 litre, four-cylinder Euro6 Mercedes-Benz engines with Powershift automated transmission. They also have luxury leather headrests, Bosch audio equipment, Synetics CCTV and incorporate Plaxton’s polished stainless steel moulding package.
