Alexander Dennis, a subsidiary of NFI Group Inc., one of the world’s leading independent global bus manufacturers, today announced that it has supplied a new Plaxton Leopard coach to Southgate & Finchley Coaches.
The new coach is the company’s first to feature a wheelchair lift and destination displays in accordance with PSV Accessibility Regulations (PSVAR), unlocking new business opportunities for the North London family business, which recently celebrated its 60th anniversary.
The Plaxton Leopard has 72 Brusa seats in a 3+2 arrangement, USB chargers, wood effect flooring and a CCTV system supplied by Centrad. It is built on the Volvo B8R chassis.
Peter Rice, Co-Owner and Managing Director for Southgate & Finchley Coaches, said: “This new Plaxton Leopard is versatile coach suitable for high-capacity work. With its efficient underpinnings and Euro VI engine it fits well into our fleet, which predominantly consists of Volvo coaches.”
Mark Taylor, Regional Sales Manager for Alexander Dennis, added: “It’s an honour to provide another first for Southgate & Finchley Coaches with this new Plaxton Leopard, their first PSVAR-compliant vehicle. We’ve been working with Peter, Elaine and their team since they bought their first ever new coach from us in 2015 and we look forward to continuing to support them.”
