Alexander Dennis, a subsidiary of NFI Group Inc., one of the world’s leading independent global bus manufacturers, today announced that it has handed over two further Enviro200 to Shiel Buses, also known as Busaichean Seile in Gaelic, for its services in the Scottish Highlands.

The latest low-emission buses are 9.7m long vehicles whose interior includes wood-effect flooring and 34 seats trimmed in a bespoke moquette and fitted with USB charging points. They follow earlier examples in the fleet in lengths of 8.9m, 9.7m and 10.8m.

Family-owned Shiel Buses has been in business for over 45 years. Its bus services are focused on Fort William and provide vital links throughout Lochaber with around 50 vehicles, around a fifth of them Alexander Dennis Enviro200 single deckers.
