Alexander Dennis Limited (“ADL”), a subsidiary of NFI Group Inc. (“NFI”), one of the world’s leading independent global bus manufacturers, today announced that it has delivered two brand new Plaxton Elite coaches to long-standing Scottish operator West Coast Motors.

Delivery of the new 13.2m long coaches is part of West Coast Motors’ celebrations to mark 100 years in business, after the company’s first passenger service operated between Campbeltown and Tarbert in 1921.

The 53-seat PSVAR-compliant coaches have a Volvo B8R chassis and are equipped with a range of high-specification features including entrance mounted wheelchair lift, alloy wheels, head up display driver warning system with haptic driver seat, vehicle wash-down and vacuum systems, heated front upper and lower windscreens and 360-degree view CCTV system installed.

A number of high-quality customer-friendly features have also been installed, including seats fitted with leather headrest, piping and sports trim, armrests, extended headrests and automatic de-recline, seat back tables, magazine nets and fixed footrests, two TV monitors, Smart audio system with Bluetooth, USB sockets to all seats and provision for Wi-Fi.
